Board Bulletin (Vol 17 No 1)

Each year, the Board of Studies NSW publishes a selection of high scoring major works by students of the English Extension 2 course. The works selected this year include short stories, critical responses, a radio drama, poetry, scripts and a multimedia piece. The depth of research and passion for the chosen media are clearly evident in each piece.

Now in its seventh year, the Young Writers Showcase presents a selection of exceptional major works by students of the 2007 HSC English Extension 2 course. This year’s anthology encompasses themes as diverse as the culture and politics of 1960s Australia, a ‘quest to understand human relationships through the empirical language of mathematics’ and the portrayal of Aboriginal males in the Australian literary environment.
