Highest number of students finish HSC today

The second final day of the 2010 HSC saw the highest number of students completing their exams in one day.

Today 17,381 students put their pens down for the last time this year, after finishing today's exams Biology, French Beginners and Continuers, and Industrial Technology. 

Biology is the fourth most popular HSC subject, taken by 24% of all HSC candidature.

French regained the top favourite language subject for this year from Japanese, which held the number one post for the past two years.

The interest in technology courses continues with enrolment numbers for Industrial Technology growing by 19%. This year saw about one in three HSC students taking at least one technology course.
