DesignTECH regional tour wraps up in Parkes

After touring regional New South Wales since May, the DesignTECH exhibition of outstanding HSC Design and Technology major works from 2009 concludes in Parkes.

From 19 August, see more than 20 outstanding major works from 2009 students on display at the Coventry Room. The exhibition includes the major works by the following students from the region:

  • Belinda Burn, Canowindra High School, who designed and built a hexagonal coffee table from Oregon timber
  • Alana Flood from Orange High School, who developed a business and marketing campaign for a small gymnasium
  • Emily Rendell who studied Design and Technology through Dubbo School of Distance Education, was inspired to create a range of children’s clothing that can be adjusted as the child grows.
  • Using plastic shopping bags, Melanie Sweetnam from All Saints’ College Bathurst, created Poly Melt, a material that can be used for clothing and accessories.
