The introduction of revised Stage 6 mathematics HSC assessment requirements and exam specifications will be deferred until Year 12, 2012. This means that the current HSC assessment requirements and exam specifications for Stage 6 mathematics courses will apply for Year 12, 2011.

Online consultation on the revised requirements closed on 10 September 2010. The consultation findings are being analysed to inform the further development and finalisation of the revised requirements. These will be published in 2011 to allow adequate time for schools to become familiar with the changes and to plan for their implementation.
