HSC written exams 4: Thursday October 20

Most HSC candidates in NSW are in metropolitan regions. In 2011 there are 42 366 students enrolled in at least one HSC course in metropolitan areas, and 29 488 in non-metropolitan areas.

09.25-11.30 VET: Information Technology, Tourism and Events

  • IT 2044 enrolled, 80% male : 20% female; fourth largest VET course enrolment
  • Tourism and Events 522 enrolled, 9% male : 91% female
  • VET, Vocational Education and Training courses, focus on developing workplace skills.
  • Look for a Test yourself question from the Tourism and Events paper.

09.25-12.30 language: Latin Continuers

  • 170 enrolled, 59% male : 41% female

13.55-16.00 VET: Retail Services

  • 1882 enrolled, 27% male : 73% female

13.55-17.00 Engineering Studies

  • 1758 enrolled, 96% male : 4% female

14.00-16.40 language: Italian Beginners

  • 373 enrolled, 25% male : 75% female, sixth largest language course enrolment
