Check HSC eligibility for enrolments in Mathematics, Applied courses

Schools that are approved to deliver the Mathematics, Applied Stage 6 courses, which are School Developed Board Endorsed courses need to check students’ pattern of study before enrolling them in the course.

The Mathematics, Applied Stage 6 courses are not Board Developed courses, therefore they do not contribute to the 6 units of Board Developed Courses needed to be eligible for the HSC.

Schools need to make sure that students undertaking either course have at least 6 other HSC units of Board Developed courses to satisfy the requirements of the award of the Higher School Certificate.

Read more about patterns of study in Section 8.2.1 of the Board’s Assessment, Certification and Examination manual.
