Who needs to read this notice:
Principals
Curriculum coordinators

Teachers

At its meeting in July 2012, the Board endorsed procedures to strengthen the monitoring and moderation process of Stage 5 grades. The proposal for schools to retain samples of student work towards the end of Stage 5 in selected courses at various points in the distribution of A to E grades from 2012 was also approved. Schools are asked to retain samples of student work and the corresponding assessment tasks for Stage 5 English, Mathematics and Science.

These work samples will be used to strengthen the A to E grading process for the Record of School Achievement.

Details about the number and type of work samples to be retained are available on the RoSA principals and teachers page of the Board’s website.

Stage 5 work samples, aligned to grades, are available on the Board’s Assessment Resource Centre website to assist teachers in understanding statewide standards and moderating their students’ work.
