Nominate a deserving HSC student for the Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize

Schools have until the end of term to send their nominations for the annual Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize.

If your school has a student striving to overcome significant disadvantage or disability to attain academic excellence in the HSC you may wish to nominate them for this year’s prize.

The award, first presented in 1993, was established by the Board of Studies NSW in memory of Brother John Taylor, a distinguished member of the Board, who made a significant contribution to education in NSW.

Open to all HSC students, the prize recognises the achievements of students who overcome personal difficulties to perform well in their HSC studies.

The prize comprises a $1000 grant, a trophy and a certificate recognising the award.

Nominations can be sent to the Board before HSC results are known.

The closing date for nominations is 21 December 2012.

Nominations will only be accepted if submitted as a PDF. Nominations can be emailed or saved onto a CD and mailed to the Board. Please do not send hard copy nominations or original copies of documents.

For more information including guidelines and the nomination form, visit The Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize webpage on the Board’s website.
