Official Notice: Update to the Stage 6 Metal and Engineering Curriculum Framework

The Stage 6 Metal and Engineering Curriculum Framework syllabus has been updated to align with version 8.1 of the MEM05 Training Package.
The amendments have no impact on the HSC examinable units of competency or their associated HSC Requirements and Advice.
The key amendments are:
- the employability skills for Certificate II in Engineering replace key competencies in the examinable outcomes and content
- updates to, or deletion of, HSC elective units of competency.
Schools and colleges should ensure that RTOs delivering courses from the Metal and Engineering Curriculum Framework to their students amend their teaching program to reflect these changes.
Details of the changes are outlined in the Metal and Engineering Modification History. The updated syllabus documents are available on the Board of Studies website.
