All schools entering students for the Higher School Certificate have the responsibility of ensuring that an appropriately endorsed program of study is in place for their students. This requirement includes cases where:

• VET Board Endorsed courses have been outsourced by the school to TAFE NSW
• VET Board Endorsed courses have been outsourced by the school to other RTOs
• VET Board Endorsed courses being undertaken by school-based apprentices or trainees.

Schools and colleges should refer to the list of Stage 6 VET Board Endorsed Course Descriptions for 2012 to determine the specific actions to be taken if offering these courses to students in 2012.

Applications to link to a Board Endorsed VET course should be submitted as soon as possible so that Preliminary and HSC course entries can be made on Schools Online. Course entries are due to be completed and confirmed by Friday, 23 March 2012.

Schools and colleges can see the list of Board Endorsed courses for which they have current endorsement on Schools Online. To view go to the site map and under sub-heading 'Courses', click on ‘Courses Offered at Your School’ and filter for Board Endorsed Courses and Show all courses. Alternatively, under sub-heading 'Courses', click on ‘Board Endorsed Course Proposals’.
