A package including a letter to secondary school principals accompanied by copies of the HSC Assessments and Submitted Works brochures has been sent to schools. The package includes three brochures:

• Advice to teachers – HSC Assessments and Submitted Works
• Advice to students – HSC Assessments and Submitted Works
• Advice to parents – HSC Assessments and Submitted Works 

The brochures contain important information about the HSC assessment program. They cover all assessment tasks, examinations, projects, practical works, independent research projects and performances. They are for distribution to Year 11 and 12 students, their parents and teachers.

The brochures support the HSC: All My Own Work program which HSC students are required to undertake. All My Own Work sets out the principles and practices students should apply when using information in HSC assessments and examinations.

The package includes a door-hanger from the Sydney Morning Herald that provides Year 11 and 12 students with information on the SMH's new "Smartpass" education resource.
