Reporting student achievement in HSC English Studies

Information on Reporting Achievement in HSC English Studies is available in the English Studies section on the Board’s website. The document provides further advice on how to report student achievement and should be read along with the assessment information provided in the English Studies draft syllabus.

To further assist teachers when reporting student achievement, student work samples aligned to the English Studies course performance descriptions and information on how to apply the course performance descriptions have been added to the Years 11 and 12 section of the Assessment Resource Centre (ARC). These aligned work samples will assist with understanding the standards for the English Studies course. Viewed together, the work samples show the standard of work typically produced by students across the range of performance descriptions for the course. Teachers can then apply the performance descriptions to report the achievement of their students.
