The NSW Office of the Board of Studies has recently achieved an organisation-wide certification to the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard.

The certification to this international information security management standard – awarded by SAI-Global – has been the result of continuous efforts to maintain and expand the Office’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).

One of the most important benefits of this certification is to provide assurance to the Office’s stakeholders of its ongoing commitment to improving information security practices within the Office environment and electronic information systems while maintaining regulatory compliance with the NSW Department of the Premier and Cabinet’s requirements (Ministerial Memorandum 2007-04).
