Term 2 professional development workshops
The Board will present a range of professional development workshops in Term 2, 2013. These workshops are designed to support staff in schools with Board of Studies processes and procedures.
These workshops are registered professional development under the terms of the NSW Institute of Teachers Continuing Professional Development policy. For teachers accredited at Professional Competence, completion of this program will contribute nominated hours towards Institute registered professional development depending on the duration of the workshop.
Board of Studies Preliminary grading workshops
This workshop is for school executives who wish to lead professional learning in this area in their school, and for teaching staff of Stage 6 who wish to develop their professional skills in the grading process using the Common Grade Scale for Preliminary Courses.
The workshop will highlight the concepts and issues underlying standards-based assessment and consistency of teacher judgement.
Board of Studies information workshops
This workshop is for teachers and covers Board of Studies assessment and credentialling for Years 10, 11 and 12.
