Every year international delegations visit NSW to meet with BOSTES to discuss how we develop and assess syllabuses.

The latest international delegation is from the Sichuan Bright Foreign Language School in western China.

The school’s headmaster Mr Chen is in Australia with a group of his senior students.

Mr Chen is keen to see firsthand how schools in Australia operate and to gain an understanding of curriculum development and implementation in NSW. In addition to visiting schools in Sydney and Melbourne, Mr Chen met with BOSTES’s Executive Director of Curriculum, Teaching and Assessment Mr Paul Hewitt.

BOSTES welcomes the opportunity to promote its rigorous and consultative approach to developing and reviewing syllabuses, and to highlight the integrity and fairness of the state’s HSC credential.
