Commonwealth Class Resources

The Commonwealth Class project provides free teaching resources, activities, online debates and competitions. The resources are linked to NSW syllabuses including Geography, English, Science, PDHPE, Design and Technology, Drama and Visual Arts. The resources address issues and topics such as global citizenship, social responsibility, Commonwealth culture and sporting events. The project’s resources and activities are flexible and adaptable and have been developed for students aged 7 - 16 years.

Commonwealth Class is a project for schools from the British Council, BBC and Commonwealth Secretariat, and is delivered in Australia by the Australian Federation of Societies for Studies in Society and Environment (AFSSSE). It aims to involve all schools across the Commonwealth in a number of initiatives and activities that promote Commonwealth countries and Commonwealth values in the lead up to the Glasgow 2014 Games.

More details about the program can be found at: www.bbc.co.uk/commonwealthclass
