Industrial Technology HSC Showcase in Sydney

The InTech display is an annual event at the Timber and Working with Wood Show at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush.

Each year BOSTES and the Institute of Industrial Arts Technology Education combine to present a display of outstanding projects from the Industrial Technology HSC course. This year's display is from the 2013 HSC and represents the focus areas of Timber and Furniture, Multimedia, Metal and Engineering, Automotive, Graphics and Electronics Technologies.

Timber is by far the most popular focus area comprising 70% of the total 5,500 projects from the 2013 HSC. Each year students travel great distances to bring their projects to Homebush for the display. Earlier this year a regional display in Orange attracted many students from local schools and surrounding areas.

In recent years, over 2000 school students have attended the Working with Wood Show on the Friday, the traditional schools' day, and received invaluable advice from experienced teachers and ex-students of the subject.

The 2014 display will be open from 10am - 5pm on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June and 10am - 4pm on Sunday 29 June. Students will also have the opportunity to consult with industry representatives about tools and machinery and the wide range of timbers on sale at the show.
