Judging underway for WriteOn 2014

Judging of the entries from over 200 schools for this year’s WriteOn competition for students in Years 1 -6 is now underway. Narrative proved to be the most popular genre chosen by entrants, who came from all three stages of learning and from schools across NSW.

Winners will be notified via their school in the week beginning Monday 8 September. Gold winners will be invited to a special ceremony on Wednesday 17 September in Sydney where their certificates and prizes will be presented by BOSTES President, Tom Alegounarias. Bronze and Silver winners will be sent their certificates.

BOSTES will publish all of the winning entries in an anthology, which will be available at a later date.

WriteOn is designed to encourage young students in Years 1 to 6 to develop their writing skills in an engaging way in response to a stimulus photograph (below).
