NSW Reconciliation Council launches 2015 Schools Reconciliation Challenge

The NSW Reconciliation Council has launched its Schools Reconciliation Challenge (SRC) for 2015. The SRC art competition is based on the theme ‘Home Grown Heroes’ and closes on Friday 22 May. It is facilitated through teaching kits that assist teachers to stimulate discussion among primary and secondary students about reconciliation in Australia. Students are encouraged to use ideas and concepts generated from the discussion to create artworks.

The SRC will be launched during NAIDOC week at the Rocks Discovery Museum with winning artworks exhibited until September 2015.

The Teaching Kit is available online at nswreconciliation.org.au or by email at schools@nswreconciliation.org.au.
