NAPLAN PAR and return of test materials

All students should have completed the NAPLAN tests, including 'catch-up' tests, between Tuesday 12 and Friday 15 May. Schools are not permitted to administer tests in the second week of the security period (Monday 18 - Friday 22 May) without prior approval from BOSTES.

Please pack and lodge all test books, except unused blank books, at a post office by Wednesday 20 May.

Participation and registration (PAR)

Principals and NAPLAN coordinators need to compete the following sections in the PAR website:

  • student test participation
  • confirmation
  • returning test materials.

The PAR Manual, which can be downloaded from the website, has information about completing the post-test information in PAR on participation, disability adjustments and returning materials. Schools can also contact BOSTES or the NAPLAN Helpline (1800 992 735).

Test materials

Unused test books, including personalised books for students who were absent, exempt, parent withdrawals or used special print test materials, should not to be sent for processing.

Details about checking, packing and confirming the quantity of completed test materials are in the Handbook for Principals (pp.36-37), or the Test Materials Packaging Video in PAR.

NAPLAN results and student reports are expected to be available to schools from Tuesday 18 August.
