The Board wishes to advise teachers and students that a resource list of kanji to accompany the study of the prescribed film, Spirited Away, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, has been published on the Board of Studies website.

BOS 68/01 (Vol 10 No 5)
This notice confirms the letter to Principals of 26 September 2001, concerning the English Stage 6 Prescriptions: Area of Study, Electives and Texts for the Higher School Certificate 2003. In that letter the Board of Studies advised principals of secondary schools and institutes of TAFE that the English Stage 6 Prescriptions: Area of Study, Electives and Texts for the Higher School Certificate 2001 and 2002 would be retained for the Higher School Certificate in 2003.
BOS 75/01 (Vol 10 No 6)
The Board wishes to advise that the eligibility rule for entry to some Stage 6 Languages courses has been revised. The revision applies to those Continuers courses where a Background Speakers course also exists in that language.
Continuers and Background Speakers courses currently co-exist in Chinese, Indonesian/Malay, Japanese, and
Korean.
