Syllabuses amended in response to revised CPR guidelines

The Australian Resuscitation Council recently announced changes to their resuscitation guidelines. The revised guidelines recommend that full cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) be given to all those requiring resuscitation.

Errata - Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework

BOS 03/05

The Board of Studies wishes to advise teachers of the Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework (approved September 2004) of the following errata in Part A of the syllabus.

On page 48 under the headings Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying and Concreting and Painting and Decorating and Wall and Floor Tiling:

  • rows 7 and 8, replace ‘’ with ‘-’ (ie BCGCM2004B ‘Handle construction materials’ and BCGCM2005B ‘Use construction tools and equipment’ are not electives for these qualifications).

On page 51 under the headings Certificate II in General Construction and Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying and Concreting and Painting and Decorating and Wall and Floor Tiling:

  • rows 2 to 5, replace ‘’ with ‘-’ (ie the ‘VE’ units of competency are not electives for these qualifications).
