The Australian Resuscitation Council recently announced changes to their resuscitation guidelines. The revised guidelines recommend that full cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) be given to all those requiring resuscitation.

The Board of Studies wishes to advise teachers of the Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework (approved September 2004) of the following errata in Part A of the syllabus.

BOS 22/04
Over recent years there has been an increase in the number of Major Projects that have either been substantially completed outside of the school or require marking at venues away from the specified examination centre. Teachers of Design and Technology and Industrial Technology are reminded of the following information in relation to the external examination of Major Projects.
BOS 04/04
Following the 2003 HSC examinations, minor adjust-ments have been made to the marking guidelines for the practical examinations and submitted tasks in Industrial Technology, Music and Textiles and Design. The revised marking guidelines are available on the Board's website.
BOS 03/04
Following advice from the Manufacturing Engineering and Related Services Industry Training Advisory Body (MERSITAB) regarding updates to the Metal and Engineering Industry Training Package (MEM98), the Board of Studies wishes to advise teachers of the following amendments to the Stage 6 Metal and Engineering Curriculum Framework:
Part A of the syllabus, pages 16, 19, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39, 47 and 49.

The Board of Studies wishes to advise teachers of the Stage 6 Construction and Metal and Engineering Curriculum Frameworks of the following amendments to the HSC Requirements column in Part B of these syllabuses.

Following advice to schools in July 2003 the Board wishes to confirm that the Primary Industries Curriculum Framework 2003 replaces the Primary Industries Curriculum Framework 1999 from Year 11, 2004.
