2010 HSC VET examination changes

VET teachers and students need to be aware of changes that apply to the HSC VET examinations that apply from 2010 and ensure that they have the current information available for each Industry Curriculum Framework. Key changes to HSC VET examination structures include:

  • Section III will now only contain one compulsory extended response question that all students answer
  • a new Section IV has been added which will contain a compulsory structured extended response question (there will be only one question, except for Frameworks with streams - Hospitality, Retail Services and Tourism and Events - where there will be one question for each stream)
  • a new rubric has been developed. The rubric only applies to Section III of the examination.
