Simplified application forms for each Industry Curriculum Framework are now available for schools, colleges and RTOs to use to manage the determination of recognition of prior learning (RPL) and credit transfer within School Certificate (SC) or HSC VET courses.

Situations where this process will be required include:

• where a student has returned to school and wants to complete an HSC VET course and VET examination for which there is a revised syllabus - for example a student who studied Hospitality in 2008 and wants to study Hospitality again this year through the revised syllabus
• where a student wants HSC recognition for a Certificate II Retail traineeship already completed and wants to sit the Retail HSC examination
• where a student wants to repeat an HSC VET course in order to achieve more units of competency or to complete a full qualification.
