HSC written exams 3: Wednesday October 19

In 2011, HSC students are sitting for 117 different written exams over 18 days between October 17 and November 11.

09.25-11.30 Paper 2: English Advanced, English Standard

  • This is the second day of English exams.
  • 67 880 students are enrolled in at least one HSC English course
  • English is the only compulsory HSC course
  • Advanced: 27 289 enrolled, 52% male : 48% female, third largest enrolment
  • Standard: 34 929 enrolled, 42% male : 58% female, largest enrolment
  • Look for a Test yourself question from today's English papers.

12.40-14.45 Society and Culture

  • 4054 candidates, 18% male : 82% female

15.25-16.30 Paper 2: English as a Second Language

16.40-17.10 Listening Paper: English as a Second Language

  • English as a Second Language: 2941 candidates, 51% male : 49% female
