Official Notice - Revised Stage 6 Business Studies syllabus ready for 2011

The revised Stage 6 Business Studies Syllabus, to be implemented for Year 11 in 2011 and examined for the HSC in 2012, is available for teachers on the Board’s website.
The main changes to the syllabus include:
- streamlined content, resulting in three topics for the Preliminary course and four topics for the HSC course
- clearer and fewer outcomes, with Preliminary course outcomes reduced from 15 to 10 and HSC course outcomes reduced from 13 to 10
- contemporary content that reflects the dynamic nature of business in Australia and globally
- requirements for students to examine contemporary business issues in each topic
- actual and hypothetical case studies
- enhanced content on ethical business behaviour and corporate responsibility
- improved continuity of learning from the Preliminary to the HSC course.
