It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the esteemed Margaret (Marg) Watts.

Marg worked for BOSTES during the late 1990’s and was instrumental in the redevelopment of the Years 7-10 and Senior Years science syllabuses. She was also an authorised person for home schooling.

Marg was a science teacher and Head Teacher of Science for over 30 years. She worked tirelessly for the Science Teachers' Association of NSW (STANSW) for most of those years, holding many positions, including president. Marg made incredible contributions to the organisation and profession, developing resources and mentoring.

At all times, Marg had a pragmatic and positive outlook on life. Her energy, positivity and solution driven abilities will be sorely missed by the science education community. Our heartfelt condolences go to her family.
